Cuba is a real gem of the Caribbean: fantastic nature, exotic scenery, rum, salsa rhytms and the best cigars in the world. And then the interesting excursions - all the colourful setting and atmosphere makes an impression on the most experienced travellers. Cuba has remained what it used to be! The island has retained its individuality and identity. Cuba amazes at every step. Beside dilapidated Batista-time houses there are nicely renovated buildings with a superb architecture. Here a fashionable car passes; there a slow and steamy Buick from the fifties catches your eye. Here an airconditioned inter-city bus, there a "village bus", which means that the body of an old soviet ZIL has been crammed full of people. On the way to Vadero you will see miserable oil fields. And then you are astouned by an inexplicably beatiful palm valley. Cuba- this is a trip back in time, as looking at all the old American cars you get this sneaky feeling that this is something out of this world. But you are wrong. It's time to make money out of the revolution. Cuban tourism has grown efficiently in the Caribbean region. This country is worth seeing. Lying on the 26-km-long white Vadero beach under a king palm sipping fresh Pina Colada you really come to think that there is nothing more in life than that.
